The Beluga is designed to quickly cut laminated safety glass used in automobile windshields, side windows, rear safety glass, and hurricane glass. As a dealer, you can increase the effectiveness and efficiency when your customers cut laminated safety glass during auto extrication.
The Beluga will cut laminated high-rise glass up to 9MM thick along with Corning’s new Gorilla Glass.
The Beluga Kit includes:
Will not wear out cutting glass
The cutting blade and stationary shoe have a very tight tolerance to minimize glass particles from passing between them and wearing the blades or dropping into the passenger compartment.
Keeps the blade in the windshield during the entire cut, even when you are not right on top of the tool (as you would be if you stood on the side of the vehicle).
Allows you to cut right to the Posts and Dashboard, removing more glass in less time than other methods.
Glass debris is designed to move up and away from the passenger compartment. Our tests showed up to 80% less glass inside when compared to a reciprocating saw, hand-cutting blades, and axes.
The connected drill and cutting head can swivel so you can steer around obstructions such as the A-Post. No need to constantly remove and restart your cut to reposition the head or drill battery. Hold the drill comfortably in your hand and swivel the head for the safest, efficient, and ergonomic cut.
Depending on the drill speed you use, the Beluga can cut about as fast as you can push it. Cut an entire windshield out in less than a minute.
Attaches to any 3/8” - ½” drill or ¼” nut driver. No need to buy a new drill and charger - use the brand and model you already own.
Kit includes replacement blade, shoe, grease, instructions, and two Allen Wrenches. A mechanic with limited ability can change these blades in a few minutes.
(excluding worn or broken blades, abuse, misuse, or cutting other than the intended material).
Interference fit blade
No air space between blade and shoe
Don’t be fooled by cheap knock-off tools that only look similar. The Beluga is the only tool specifically designed for cutting laminated safety glass and no other material. Some knock-off brands are using home center, concrete siding saws, and comparing them to the Beluga Glass Cutter. When those cheaper tools are used to cut glass, the blades wear quickly, the bearings fill with glass dust, the cut particles end up in the passenger compartment, and you have to lean into the tool as the short blade pops out of the glass.
Since the blade is not hardened, ground, and polished, nor has a tight tolerance, the glass particles get between the softer material blade, wearing it out very quickly. A worn blade is inefficient and could cause the blade to snap in the windshield. There is nothing more heartbreaking and embarrassing than a delay in extricating a patient due to a failure of your equipment.
Ask for the Beluga cutting head by name, don’t be fooled by imitations.
